Bradshaw Primary School 01422 244283

Safeguarding is a priority at Bradshaw Primary School and we have several policies in place to help to keep our children safe.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and all staff working in school receive regular training and are familiar with the statutory guidance of Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.  Training includes a range of safeguarding issues, including the Prevent strategy to protect children from radicalisation and extremism, child sexual exploitation and FGM.

Each school has it’s own safeguarding policy.

If you are worried about the welfare of a child who attends Bradshaw Primary School, please speak to a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).  Our Senior DSL is Rebecca Lockley.

If you have concerns about  a child being at risk of harm, you can also contact Calderdale’s Multi Agency Screening team on 01422 393336.

Operation Encompass Notifications

Operation Encompass is a partnership between the police and schools. One of its key principles is that all incidents of domestic abuse are shared with schools so all children affected, can receive appropriate and timely support. Bradshaw Primary is a member of Operation Encompass.

If you are affected by domestic abuse and would like to talk to a member of staff or, you have any concerns about a child exposed to domestic abuse, please contact a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
