by 8:45am on the first day of absence and each subsequent day until your child returns to school.
Our Aims
At Bradshaw, our aim is to continuously improve attendance and punctuality throughout school, and promote the need for regular school attendance.
Our whole-school target is 97% attendance.
Why is attending school every day so important for EVERY child?
Going to school every day on time means:
- A better understanding of a new, much more challenging curriculum.
- Better life chances and opportunities.
- Taking part in exciting learning opportunities.
- Developing excellent attitudes to learning, social skills and lasting friendships.
- Being able to fulfil their potential.
- Developing responsible attitudes towards attendance in readiness for the future.
How can I help my child?
- Make sure you keep an eye on the time first thing in the morning so that your child arrives punctually.
- Make medical or dental appointments outside of school hours.
- Ensure that holidays are booked during the school holidays. If this is unavoidable, you must complete a Planned Absence Form - link below.
- Our attendance policy makes it clear that Penalty Notices will be issued to all parents who choose to remove their child from school to take a family holiday in term time.
See attendance policy for more information.
